We finally made it to the top. In lock eight, there was a terrible storm and we waited for it to subside and then we left lock eight around 4pm

This poor guy didn't make it. It was in the 80's and very humid, his black hat didn't help.
Saw some of the sights while we waited for the locks to open--Parliament and the changing of the guards.
Looking down the flight of eight
This is the flight of eight locks in downtown Ottawa
This was not a good sign. Diver Dan was in lock one. It turns out that they were having trouble with this and lock two. So we waited.
Arrived on the "blue line" at 8:15am waiting for the locks to open and take us up a flight of eight locks. We are in the Ottawa River waiting for the Rideau Canal.
