Anchorage Green Turtle Cay, White Sound

26 46.748N
77 20.169W

Black Sound side of Green Turtle

Looking from White Sound Harbour out the inlet
Green Turtle Cay Harbour, nice protected anchorage

After going through Whale Passage we could look across to Treasure Cay on the beach side.
"Don't Rock", shallow draft boats can go through these waters without having to go through Whale Cay Passage and out into the ocean.  When the tide is going out and rollers are coming in from the ocean it can be impassable.
Leaving Treasure Cay this morning.  We spent almost a week here--great anchorage

Treasure Cay Marina

Time to change the zincs.  The zincs on the shafts had vanished.  This is what's left of the other zincs!  Heavy winds were predicted so we decided to go to the marina.  It was a non-event here but Freeport, Bahamas had a tornado.

Still in Treasure Cay

Our rental car

The town of Rocky Point--south of Marsh Harbour and Little Harbour at the southerm most end of the Abacos.  Not much there!
We rented a car to take Laura to the airport.  We wanted to see what else was around.

And she's up and away!

Our days in the Abaco are numbered with Laura leaving.

Marsh Harbour International Airport - kinda small!

Treasure Cay

Ed thought the lights in the bar area looked interesting at night!
It finally stopped raining and we could get together with our Mumford Cove friends, Peter and Beth, at their rental house on Treasure Cay
Just a relaxing rainy day in the harbour

Another stroll around Great Guana

Fowl Cay stop

You can just make out the star pattern on this live Sea Biscuit.  When the owner vacates it leaves a very thin white shell (skeleton) that looks like a sand dollar puffed up.  He went back into the water after the pic.
It finally warmed up enough for a swim

Another beautiful day on Fowl Cay, you can just make out the reef

Mooring Ball, Little Harbour

Another front was coming so we decided to go to Little Harbour on Sunday.  Pete's Pub was open but his gallery and foundry was not.  During the night we had a very heavy storm and strong winds.  It rained all morning so we never got to the gallery or foundry.  We had to leave to make our next port.

Just outside the foundry
More of his work
