Today is Linda's birthday and we'll celebrate with dinner at a very nice restaurant on the water in Leland. Funny thing is they probably charge extra for the water view and it's import is lost on us!! She's sporting her new skrimshaw earings from Mackinac Island in this photo.
When we first came into the Harbor we saw this 110 ft. yacht with an amphibious car on it's deck. The captain said they don't launch the car much, not much freeboard - more for decoration!
Leland is an old fishing town that is still active and also set up as a tourist attraction. The old shanties of Fishtown have been converted to shops. A nice town to walk around. It was interesting to watch a local artist and compare what he saw and painted vs. what the camera shows.
