Meeting of the Ohio and Tennessee River in Paducah
with the large building in the background. Made it to the Cumberland River and Barclay Lock and Dam where we waited 2 1/2 hours for the lock. Our buddies, because they are faster, made it though the lock ahead of us and arrived at the marina 2 1/2 hours before us! We had to wait for a tow to go through and then we could go.
Blue heron took a ride on the lock door.
We will be staying here at Green Turtle Bay Marina for a few days. Ed has to change the oil in the two engines and do some other maintenance work.
There were many fellow Loopers here and we had a beach party one night, complete with a campfire for roasting hot dogs, and a spirited bocce ball tournament. Lots of fun with good company.
